This pure dark roast 100% Kona peaberry coffee presents an appealing profile of aromatic cocoa, gentle acidy, and a fruit forward cup. Peaberry coffee beans are produced by the coffee plant, when the coffee fruit develops into one oval shaped coffee bean rather than into the usual pair of flat-sided coffee beans. Peaberry coffee is enjoyed as a special rare coffee, as the amount of peaberry beans that are produced compared to the standard coffee beans is quite low, at only about 5% of the total coffee production.
